In line with its commitment to improving education in Gilgit-Baltistan, AKES,P is seeking dynamic and qualified candidates for several key management positions. These positions will contribute significantly to the development of the institution’s network of schools, which span from primary to secondary education. Available Positions and Qualifications

1. Deputy General Manager (DGM), Gilgit-Baltistan

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a network of 109 schools across Gilgit-Baltistan.
  • Oversee school operations, improvement initiatives, and ensure the overall development of educational services.
  • Assist in implementing the organization’s long-term strategy, focusing on expanding access to quality education and improving student learning outcomes.
  • Provide mentorship to staff and support academic functions.
  • Oversee the monitoring and evaluation processes of schools.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • At least 10 years of proven experience in management, preferably in educational institutions.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills in English.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and education management tools.
  • Demonstrated experience in improving educational outcomes and staff mentoring.

2. Manager, School Development (Gilgit-Hunza Region)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead school development initiatives and school repositioning exercises.
  • Support senior management in programme planning, school upgradation, and expansion efforts.
  • Work on developing proposals for new schools and quality assurance plans.
  • Collaborate with academic departments for affiliation and registration of schools.
  • Develop standards and benchmarks for schools and implement school evaluation mechanisms.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Master’s degree, preferably in Education.
  • Minimum of 8 years of management experience in reputable educational institutions.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and education management tools.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills in English.

3. Head, Regional School Development Unit (Gilgit Region)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of academic and support staff to improve schools in the designated region.
  • Prepare strategic plans for school development and improvement.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders, including school leaders, volunteers, and government officials.
  • Develop school improvement targets and oversee their achievement.
  • Coordinate monitoring and evaluation activities to ensure effective school operations.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Education.
  • Minimum 5 years of teaching experience and at least 2 years in academic management.
  • Expertise in communication, leadership, and education management.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and other relevant tools.
